President Murmu Special Day 2024 Address: President draupadi murmu addressed the audience on the evening of the 78th Independence Day on Wednesday. This year the theme of Independence Day is 'Vixit Bharat'. The name has been decided to keep in mind the government's vision to make india a developed country by 2047.
"Thank you very much for your special day, I am happy that the nation is celebrating its 78th special day. Witnessing the tricolour unfurl on this occasion, be it at the red Fort, at state capitals or in local neighbourhoods, always thrills our hearts,” she said in her address.Highling the celebration of Independence Day as a festival, President Murmu said, “Just as we celebrate various festivals with our families, we celebrate our Independence Day and Republic Day with our family which comprises our fellow citizens. On the 15th of August, in all parts of the country and also abroad, indians participate in the flag-hoisting ceremonies, sing patriotic songs, and distribute sweets.”Addressing the nation, President Murmu talked about the tradition that interlinks the dreams of freedom fighters and the aspirations of future generations.

“We realise that we are part of a chain that binds the dreams of those who participated in the freedom struggle and the aspirations of those who will witness the nation regaining its full glory in the years to come. Realising that we are links of this chain of history is humbling. It makes us recall the days when the nation was under a foreign rule. Courageous and earthy souls face many challenges and they make sacrifices. We honor their memory."
The President continued, "While we are celebrating various events with our families, we are also celebrating our Independence Day and Republic Day with our family, all of whom are citizens." Birsa Munda as a national pride day. While addressing the nation, President Mormo said: His 150th birthday celebration last year will be an opportunity to honor his contribution to the nation's liberation.

The President welcomes India's G20 chairmanship

After completing his presidency of the Group of 20, india has strengthened its role as the voice of the Global South. india wants to use its influential position to promote world peace and prosperity, President Droupadi Murmu said.
She further highlighted India’s growing economy and said, “It is a matter of pride for all of us that india has become the fifth largest economy of the world, and we are set to soon be among the top three economies of the world. This success has been possible only due to the tireless hard work of farmers and workers, far-sightedness of policy makers and entrepreneurs and the visionary leadership of the country.”


Droupadi Murmu: First Tribal President of India
Droupadi Murmu created history when she became the first tribal woman to be appointed to the highest constitutional position in india in July 2022. Last year, on the eve of Independence Day, Murmu, the second female president of india, addressed the nation with a powerful speech.
The address will be broadcast from 7 pm on the entire national network of Akashvani and telecast over all channels of Doordarshan in hindi followed by the english version.
