The andhra pradesh administration is eager to implement a new excise law in the state. Plans are in place to drastically lower the cost of alcoholic beverages as part of it. The government reportedly intends to charge between Rs. 80 and Rs. 90 for a quarter (180 ml) of well-known brands. There won't be any drop in the liquor's quality despite the price reduction. A quarter bottle cost about Rs. 200 during the previous regime.

When the previous administration was in power, young people turned to cocaine and other addictive substances because they couldn't buy alcohol. According to accounts, the former government's measures caused a huge surge in drug usage in the state. The present administration is working to put the new liquor policy into effect as scheduled, with an introduction scheduled for October. A group of authorities has been visiting several states in order to research their respective liquor laws. They have already completed a report and visited six states. In a day or two, the report will be turned in to the government.

Regarding the acquisition of booze, the excise agency is also in discussions with liquor manufacturers. By the end of this month or the beginning of next month, the administration intends to introduce all well-known brands into the state.
