The COVID-19 epidemic changed the face of the worldwide box office by making people more picky and difficult to please. Nevertheless, a few movies have performed very well both domestically and internationally. With a total of 415 crores, Shah Rukh Khan's Pathaan is the highest-grossing indian film overseas following the epidemic. With 405 crores, his other film, Jawan, is also quite successful. This demonstrates how popular bollywood is still over the world.

Sandalwood, kollywood, and tollywood have also had success with their regional productions. With 352 crores, Tollywood's rrr comes in third place. With 245 crores in revenue, Prabhas' film kalki 2898 AD comes in fifth spot. With 130 crores, Salaar, another telugu movie, comes in ninth. Leo is ranked eighth in kollywood and has grossed 204 crores. Another tamil movie, Jailer, took in 195 crores, almost surpassing Leo. With 165 crores, ponniyin selvan 1 is another name on the list.

With 220 crores, Sandalwood's kgf chapter 2 is ranked sixth. With four of its films ranking in the top 10 overall, bollywood has a significant global presence. prabhas, who is only 170 crores behind Shah Rukh Khan, is gradually catching up to him. He can undoubtedly outperform SRK if he can identify some foreign markets that may bring him an extra $20 million in revenue. How long it takes prabhas to overtake Shah Rukh Khan in terms of global revenues and reach the top place would be intriguing to see.
