Monsoon has been in active mode in haryana and punjab for the last few days. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has issued a rain alert in the states today. Rain alert has been issued in 41 cities of haryana and 40 cities of Punjab. Along with this, winds of 30 to 40 kmph are also going to blow along with rain in Haryana-Punjab.
According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of lightning in Tosham, Bawani Khera, Hansi, Narnaund, Jagadhri, Chhachhrauli and Narayangarh towns apart from Hisar, Bhiwani, Panchkula districts. Along with this, clouds are overcast in Haryana's Mahendragarh, Charkhi Dadri, Bhiwani, Rewari, Jhajjar, Rohtak, Fatehabad, Jind, Ambala districts and Narnaul, Ateli, Nangal Chaudhary, Kanina, Loharu, Indri, Bawal, Kosli, Bahadurgarh, Matanhail, Beri, Sampla, Narnaund, Adampur, Radaur, Meham, Julana, Narwana, Kalka, Barada, Jagadhri, Narayangarh, light to moderate rain is expected here. According to the data of the Meteorological Department, the highest rainfall has occurred in Mahendragarh district, where 22.5 mm of rain has been recorded. Apart from this, 20.5 mm of rain was recorded in Jind district.
Yellow alert issued in Punjab


The Meteorological Department has predicted rain at some places in Punjab. In view of this, a yellow alert has been issued. Moderate rain is expected in Patiala, Gurdaspur, Pathankot, Fatehgarh Sahib, Khanna, Nawanshahr, Derabassi, Malerkotla, Nangal, Dera baba Nanak. Along with this, strong winds can also blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers. Due to the activation of monsoon, it is raining in the state. However, the rain is still limited to some districts. 66.8 mm of rain was recorded in Ludhiana. At the same time, 3.0 mm of rain was recorded in Fatehgarh Sahib and 2.5 mm in Mohali. So far, less than normal rain has occurred in punjab in the month of August.
