Supreme court orders formation of SIT?

Food minister Govind Rajput in Madhya Pradesh's Dr Mohan Yadav cabinet is in trouble again. supreme court has asked madhya pradesh police to form a new SIT to investigate the missing Man Singh patel case. court has given instructions to complete the investigation in 4 months. Man Singh patel of Sagar district is missing since 2016. minister Govind Rajput and his associates are accused of keeping Man Singh in illegal custody. In this case, minister Govind Rajput says that this is a political conspiracy. He said that I welcome the decision of the supreme Court. This will give justice to Man Singh's family as well as me.

What did the supreme court say

During the hearing on Wednesday, the bench of Justice Suryakant and Justice Ujjal Bhuiyan has given the liberty to the aggrieved party that if needed or if strict action is not taken after the investigation, it can come to the supreme court again. The court has ordered the DGP to include an IG, a senior superintendent, superintendent (or additional) rank officers in the SIT. The court clarified that all the officers should be direct recruited IPS of madhya pradesh cadre. There should not be a single officer of the State police Service in it. The court has also ordered to convert the missing report into an FIR. The revenue records of the disputed land should be investigated. The supreme court said - "There is no doubt that the doubts hidden in the minds of the people who know the missing person should be satisfactorily removed. Even in the interest of those against whom the needle of suspicion has been raised."

The petition was filed by OBC Mahasabha

The supreme court heard the petition filed by OBC Mahasabha and others regarding the missing laborer Man Singh patel (Kushwaha) from Sagar district. It has been said in the petition filed that Man Singh Patel's land was in Tili of Sagar district. Which is currently occupied by madhya pradesh Revenue minister Govind Singh Rajput. It is alleged that when the said land was being occupied, Man Singh patel had lodged a named complaint in the year 2016 with the City Magistrate, Revenue Department and the concerned police station.

Man Singh Patel's son Sitaram had complained in the police station on 23 august 2016 that his father Man Singh patel was forcibly taken away from home by minister Govind Singh Rajput and others. Later, on the basis of this complaint, an FIR was registered in the Civil Lines police station of Sagar city regarding Man Singh's missing person. Sitaram later changed his statement in this.
