At the 70th National Film Awards, Brahmastra made a significant impact by winning several prestigious honors. Directed by ayan mukerji, the film, which features ranbir kapoor, alia bhatt, and amitabh bachchan, was recognized for Best music Direction, Best Male Playback Singer, and Best Film in the Animation, Visual Effects, Gaming, and Comics (AVGC) category. These awards highlight the film’s impressive visual effects, innovative storytelling, and strong performances.

Alia Bhatt celebrated the film's success by sharing the official winning poster on instagram stories, originally posted by dharma Productions. She expressed her joy with a heartfelt caption, “Only love and light,” and tagged everyone involved in the project, showing her appreciation for the team’s collective effort.

Ayan Mukerji, the film’s director, also expressed his gratitude, calling the recognition a significant milestone in his career. He praised the film’s music, highlighting Pritam’s compositions, Amitabh’s lyrics, and Arijit Singh’s vocals. Mukerji acknowledged the dedication that went into the film and thanked the entire team for their hard work and passion.

Looking ahead, ranbir kapoor mentioned that ayan mukerji is currently working on war 2, but once completed, he will focus on Brahmastra 2. Kapoor noted that the sequel is already in development, with Mukerji planning to start shooting by late 2024 or early 2025. The team is addressing feedback from the first film to improve the sequel, including addressing critiques of the chemistry between the characters shiva and Isha.

Brahmastra Part 1 has garnered a fan following for its unique mix of mythology, fantasy, and modern storytelling, featuring appearances by Shah Rukh Khan, Nagarjuna, amitabh bachchan, and Mouni Roy.
