Sidharth Malhotra has endured years of financial hardship and, other than the OTT release Shershaah, has not had a successful box office film in the previous ten years. Even if Yodha, his most recent movie, was a respectable attempt, it was a complete failure. At the moment, Sidharth is in uttarakhand filming Mitti, his upcoming project. According to reports, Sreeleela will play a major role in the movie; her parts of the production are scheduled to begin in October.

Sreeleela has been itching to explore bollywood to broaden her horizons after the lackluster success of guntur Kaaram caused her career in the South to take a knock. She has now committed to playing Mitti's primary female role. Insiders said it's a powerful job supported by the author, which Sreeleela has been actively pursuing. She said yes right away after reading the screenplay and was thrilled about working with Sidharth again.

It's interesting to note that Sreeleela was reportedly closer to signing varun Dhawan's comedy flick than Sidharth was, which would have been a more promising chance. Recently, producer Ramesh Taurani made it clear that Sreeleela was never originally intended to be a part of varun Dhawan's movie. Her admirers are criticizing her decision to collaborate with Sidharth, an actor who is now facing a string of flops, rather than the more financially successful varun Dhawan.
