Lightning wreaks havoc in Jashpur, cm expressed grief…


Three women have died and seven others were injured in separate incidents of lightning in Jashpur district of Chhattisgarh. Officials said on saturday that three women Shraddha Yadav (35), Rakhi Pankra (20) and Akhiyaro Minj (40) died in two incidents of lightning in Pathalgaon and Baghbahar police station areas of the district.

2 women killed, 7 injured


According to officials, nine women had gone to work in the fields at around 2 pm on friday afternoon in Chandagarh village under Pathalgaon area, when suddenly it started raining and lightning struck with heavy thunder. Officials said that in this incident two women Shraddha and Rakhi died and seven others were injured. He said that when other villagers came to know about the incident, the affected were taken to the hospital.


Woman dies due to lightning in Baghbahar area

According to officials, in another similar incident, a woman named Akhiyaro Minj was burnt after being struck by lightning while working in the field near Kurkut drain under Baghbahar area. He told that on getting information about the incident, the villagers took the woman to the hospital, where doctors declared her dead. Incidents of lightning increase during monsoon in Jashpur district. Many people have died in these incidents in the district.

At the same time, the chief minister of the state vishnu Dev Sai has expressed grief over the incident. He posted on X and wrote that sad news has been received about the death of 3 women and injuries to many women due to lightning in Jashpur district. The injured women have been taken to the hospital by the district administration for immediate treatment. The administration has been given other necessary instructions to make better treatment arrangements. My condolences are with the families of the deceased. I pray to god for the peace of the soul of the deceased women and the speedy recovery of the injured.
