181 school students fell ill after eating mid-day meal…?


181 school students fell ill after eating mid-day meal biscuits in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra. Out of these, the condition of nine students is said to be critical, who have been shifted to another hospital. After eating these biscuits, the students started feeling nauseous and vomiting, while many students suddenly got fever. As the health of these nine students deteriorated, they have been shifted to Sambhaji nagar for treatment. The students were shifted to Sambhajinagar government Hospital with two ambulances and the condition of some more students is reported to be deteriorating.


Fever started as soon as they ate food

This incident took place in the Zilla Parishad school in Kekat Jalgaon of Paithan taluka of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar district. Since it was Saturday, biscuits were distributed to the school children. After eating these biscuits, the health of the students started deteriorating and they suddenly got fever.

All the students were admitted to the rural hospital of Pachod for treatment. The health of some of these students deteriorated more, due to which they were admitted to the hospital of Sambhaji Nagar. Two ambulances were arranged for the students, which brought them to the government hospital of Sambhaji Nagar. No official statement has come from the administration in this matter yet. In such a situation, it is not known what kind of investigation is going on in this regard.


A similar incident happened in Palghar

This month, more than 70 people in Palghar became victims of food poisoning, including school students. Under the Dahanu Tribal Development Project of Palghar, food was supplied to the school from the central kitchen. The children of the ashram school ate food at night and the very next day they started complaining of vomiting and diarrhea, after which they had to be admitted to the hospital.
