Rapid Rail: Sahibabad to meerut in 30 minutes!!!


The Namo Bharat train running on the Delhi-Meerut RRTS corridor will now go to meerut South, which started from Sahibabad RRTS station at 2 pm yesterday. It has now become easier for passengers going to meerut to go from Sahibabad to Meerut. The train reached meerut South station in just 30 minutes, running at a maximum speed of 160 on a total 42 km long section. From today, Namo Bharat will run in both directions.


The train will operate from 6 am to 10 pm. Passengers will have to pay Rs 110 for traveling in standard coach. Namo Bharat, which earlier ran on 8 stations of 34 km section, will now go to a total of 9 stations. According to the information received from RRTS, the first train in both directions will leave at 6:00 am and the last train will leave from the terminal stations - Sahibabad and meerut South - at 10:00 pm. The one-way concessional fare of Namo Bharat train will be Rs 110 for standard class from Sahibabad to meerut South and Rs 90 for standard class from ghaziabad to meerut South.

The RRTS corridor at meerut South station will have the largest parking facility in Uttar Pradesh. Two parking lots located on either side of the entry/exit gates have been built in about 13,000 square meters. The parking lots can accommodate about 1,200 four-wheelers and two-wheelers. Apart from this, special parking facility is also available for auto-rickshaws. The station has been designed under the pick-up and drop-off facility of vehicles coming from meerut and Delhi. Ramps have been included at the station to enable Divyang passengers to reach the Namo Bharat train.


Journey from meerut South to Sahibabad in 30 minutes

With the start of Namo Bharat train till meerut South station, now the total 42 km stretch of Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut RRTS corridor includes 9 stations from Sahibabad to meerut South. With the start of operations till meerut South, the travel of passengers from Mohiuddinpur, Bhudbaral, Bahadurpur, Aminagar, Chhajjupur, Kharkhoda, Kadarabad from meerut to Sahibabad will become easier. Passengers will be able to reach Sahibabad from meerut South in about 30 minutes.
