All countries have been on high alert for monkeypox since the World health Organization (WHO) declared a state of emergency. WHO places it in the Grade 3 category. Infections are placed in Grade 3, where the risk is high, and immediate measures must be taken to prevent them. It is a matter of concern that this virus is spreading like the current spread of the Coronavirus. Since the beginning of this year, monkeypox has started spreading rapidly in kenya along with Congo, Rwanda, Uganda, and Burundi. Recently the virus has spread from Africa first to Sweden, then to Pakistan, and now to the Philippines. So far, one person has been diagnosed with the infection in Sweden, four in Pakistan, and one in the Philippines. The main symptoms of monkeypox are pus-filled blisters on the body, fever, headache, muscle pain, back pain, fatigue, weakness, and swelling in the throat. Itching and rash usually start on the face and then spread to other parts of the body. monkeypox can be spread through contact with an infected person or animal. It is spread through skin wounds, skin-to-skin contact with an infected person, breathing near an infected person and sharing items used by an infected person, such as bedding, clothing, and towels. It is better to practice general cleanliness to prevent monkeypox. Common precautions include paying special attention to frequent hand washing, staying away from infected people, covering any cuts on your skin, avoiding contact with animals, practicing safe sex, and getting vaccinated if your area is affected by monkeypox.

monkeypox is divided into two subtypes Clade I and Clade II. Clade I is considered the most dangerous of these two species. It has been showing its hideous face in the Congo Basin of Central Africa for decades. Clade II is slightly less intense. It is present in parts of West Africa.
