CBI takes big action against bribe takers, 4 crore seized…
A 22-member cbi team from delhi has conducted raids in Madhya Pradesh. Five people have been arrested so far during this operation. In the operation that started on saturday night, four people including the cbi DSP have been arrested and cash worth Rs 4 crore has also been recovered. In fact, in the raid that started late saturday night, the cbi raided the houses of two NCL officers Sunil prasad Singh and ravindra prasad on monday as well. During this, the cbi team searched the documents. These are the charges against the accused
1- cbi has arrested ravi shankar Singh, middleman and owner of Singrauli-based M/s Sangam Engineering, who was allegedly working as a mediator between various contractors, traders and officials of Northern Coalfields Limited.
2- cbi has arrested ravi shankar Singh's associate Divesh Singh, who was arrested when he went to give a bribe of Rs 5 lakh to a cbi officer in Jabalpur.
3- jabalpur cbi, SB Branch Deputy Superintendent of police Joy Joseph Damle has been arrested red-handed while accepting a bribe of Rs 5 lakh.
4- Chief Manager (Administration), NCL is accused of helping the accused in sending money in exchange for cbi investigation.
5- Subedar Ojha, personal secretary to CMD of NCL, first mediated between the CMD and supplier ravi Singh for payment in exchange for machinery supply. Apart from this, when the complaint reached cbi, he helped in sending the money to cbi through ravi shankar Singh and Basant Kumar Singh.
