"Rs 3.6 Crore 'Egg Puff Scandal' Escalates TDP-YCP Tensions in Andhra Pradesh"

In Andhra Pradesh, the issue of egg puffs has become a focal point in the political clash between the ruling telugu desam party (TDP) and the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu congress Party (YSRCP). The tdp has criticized former chief minister jagan mohan reddy for alleged excessive spending on snacks during his tenure, leading to a heated political debate.

The tdp has accused the previous YSRCP government of spending an astonishing Rs 3.62 crore on egg puffs between 2019 and 2024. According to social media reports, the Chief Minister’s office (CMO) reportedly spent Rs 72 lakh annually on these snacks, averaging 993 egg puffs daily, which totals to 18 lakh egg puffs over the five years.

This revelation has ignited a substantial debate, with the tdp expressing concerns about the potential misuse of public funds under Reddy's administration. The tdp used a playful jab on X, stating, “Nobody is eggs-aggerating. That’s your area of eggs-pertise. Everyone’s just eggs-pressing facts that are beginning to hatch out of shells now. This is just the beginning of an eggs-ploration into your misdeeds. Don’t be terri-fried so early, YSRCP. (BTW, can that Y stand for yolk now?)”

The TDP's comments were in response to a YSRCP commented  that criticized a journalist for spreading unverified rumors. The "Egg Puff Scandal" has gained momentum as the tdp government, led by Chandrababu Naidu, has launched a thorough investigation into the financial practices of the previous administration.

Previously, jagan mohan reddy faced scrutiny from the tdp over allegations of building a luxurious resort on Rushikonda Hill in Visakhapatnam for personal use.
