Actor Vijay is set to unveil the party's flag today!!!

Vijay's goal is still to win the tamil Nadu assembly elections in 2026. TVK is expected to formally debut with a rally at Vikravandi, Villupuram district, towards the end of September. On august 22, tamil actor Vijay will formally unveil the flag of his political party, Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK), in the Panayur, Chennai, headquarters of the group. In front of his party officials, Vijay is reportedly going to hoist the party flag. According to a number of reports, Vijay had practiced the ritual earlier this week. With his attention on the 2026 tamil Nadu assembly elections, Vijay's political career is perceived to have begun with the unveiling of the flag.

Even though the party is still registering with the indian Election Commission, a picture of a yellow flag with Vijay's picture on it has gone popular on social media. TVK officials haven't yet verified its veracity, though. In february of this year, Vijay declared that Tamizhaga Vetri Kazhagam would be formed. The actor intends to devote himself entirely to politics following the completion of his upcoming film, "Thalapathy 69," which is slated for release in february 2025. He has declared that he will not be supporting any political party in the 2024 lok sabha elections and that he will construct TVK's grassroots infrastructure over the course of the next two years. He is still focused on winning the assembly elections in 2026 because he believes it will result in "fundamental political change" in tamil Nadu. The actor may run for office in the tamil Nadu assembly elections under the party's banner, but this has not been verified yet.
