Sharad Pawar Calls Off maharashtra Bandh
NCP(SP) chief sharad pawar has called off maharashtra Bandh slated for august 24 to protest against the sexual assault of two kindergarten girls in Badlapur.

“In the wake of the badlapur incident, tomorrow A statewide public shutdown was called for on 24 august 2024. The torture done to those two innocent girls was very disgusting. As a result, strong public sentiments emerged in this regard from all levels of society. This was an attempt to draw the government’s attention to this matter. This bandh was within the purview of the Fundamental Rights of the Constitution of India. However, Honourable bombay HC has ruled that the bandh is unconstitutional. As the indian Judiciary is a constitutional institution, it is requested to withdraw tomorrow’s bandh while respecting the Constitution,” Pawar said in an X post.Notably, the maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), a political coalition of Congress, ncp (Sharad Pawar Faction) and the shiv sena (Uddhav thackeray Faction) has called for a “Maharashtra Bandh” on saturday (August 24).
