The New delhi Municipal Council (NDMC), which oversees the area, expressed concern that the screen may have been "hacked" through the use of sophisticated technology.
 
According to officials cited by PTI, the event was discovered on thursday night when bystanders saw the film playing on one of the LED displays set up for commercials in the famed market of Connaught Place, located in Delhi's H Block.
 
According to a police officer, NDMC representatives assisted in taking down the brief video.


According to the NDMC, it runs two different kinds of panels in the regions it oversees: one for interactive touchscreens and the other for advertisements.
 
"Both panels meet international standards and are managed by a server that is fully protected by an antivirus and firewall system. In the NDMC zones, we are also giving up free hotspots for public use," a statement said.
 
The event was referred to as "one of its kind" by the NDMC, which also stated that it was looking into how the firewall was compromised.
 
The local authority emphasized that just one board at one of the 50 places under its control was impacted, despite the fact that advertisement boards had been installed at all of them. The specific LED board may have been compromised "using some advance technique," according to the statement.
 

The police official stated that the delhi police had filed a complaint under the pertinent provisions of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (BNS) and that an investigation was underway to apprehend the offenders.
 
One of the busiest marketplaces in the nation's capital is Connaught Place, which is located in the center of Delhi.
 
There have been other instances of this kind of issue.
