CBI Conducts Polygraph Test Of Sanjay Roy At Presidency Jail

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) started carrying out a polygraph test on the main accused, Sanjay Roy, in the kolkata rape-murder case today. A special court in kolkata allowed the cbi to conduct the polygraph test after a junior doctor at the state-run RG Kar Hospital was brutally raped and murdered earlier this month.

The cbi on saturday conducted the polygraph test on six individuals, including Sandip Ghosh, in connection with the kolkata rape and murder case. A day after cbi filed an FIR in connection with financial irregularities at RG Kar Hospital, a cbi team reached Sandip Ghosh’s residence on Sunday. The central agency is also conducting searches at multiple locations as part of the ongoing probe into financial irregularities. The Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate’s (ACJM) court in Sealdah approved the CBI’s request on thursday to conduct a lie detector test on the controversial former principal of RG Kar Medical college and Hospital, Sandip Ghosh, and five others in connection with the case.

Of the total seven individuals involved, one is a close associate of Roy, a civic volunteer, while the remaining four are postgraduate medical students of RG Kar who were on duty at the hospital on the night of august 8-9.Members of republican party of india (Athawale) staged a protest against the rape and killing of a post-graduate medical student at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical college and Hospital.
