The government is preparing to begin a thorough probe into a number of land scams that are said to have happened in Visakhapatnam during the previous five years while the YSRCP was in power. High-profile instances include the Dasapalla lands, Hayagriva Infra, the ramanaidu studio lands, and the dubious land assignment to Sarada Peetha in Bhimili will be the focus of this investigation.

In addition, matters such as the freehold licenses granted to de-pattas, the omission of certain properties from Section 22-A of the Registration Act, and the reported coercion of persons to surrender their lands will be examined closely. The administration is holding comprehensive consultations with legal experts to guarantee the legal soundness of this probe. This include talks with district-level government pleders as well as state-level government general practitioners and standing councils.

The intention is to place the inquiry inside a robust legal framework and to preemptively handle any prospective legal challenges. The awarding of an acre of property in Kothavalasa, Bhimili Mandal, to Sarada Peetha at a heavily subsidized rate of just one lakh per acre, is one of the controversial matters under examination. The government is considering its options for recovering this land legally. Additionally, there are claims that certain YSRCP officials coerced people into giving them land worth crores of rupees by using threats against the people of Visakhapatnam and the neighboring districts.

A key instance involves a complaint that has apparently been filed with government officials by the spouse of a former high-ranking officer of the Eastern Power Distribution Company of andhra pradesh Limited (EPDCL). This complaint is expected to be part of the larger inquiry.
