Kuldip Singh Dhingra and Gurbachan Singh Dhingra, the Dhingra Brothers, have catapulted Berger Paints to the forefront of the paint business. With revenues of Rs 10,619 crore by 2023, Berger Paints is the second-biggest paint manufacturer in India, right behind Asian Paints. The business has activities outside of India, including in Bangladesh, Nepal, Poland, Russia, and other nations.
 
At Berger Paints, his brother Gurbachan Singh Dhingra is Vice Chairman and his brother Kuldip Singh Dhingra is Chairman. The Dhingra Brothers' combined net worth is $8.2 billion, or around Rs 68,467 crore, according to Forbes. The Dhingra family has been involved in the paint industry since 1898. Following their graduation from delhi University, Kuldip and Gurbachan opened more stores in amritsar as part of the expansion of their family company.

By the 1970s, these businesses were bringing in about Rs 10 lakh a year. The Dhingra family achieved great worldwide success in the 1980s, when they became the biggest paint exporters to the Soviet Union, with an annual revenue of Rs 300 crore.
 
The brothers' purchase of Berger Paints from renowned british paint producer Vijay Mallya in the 1990s marked a turning point in their career. Their creative marketing strategy and dedication to offering high-quality goods at fair pricing allowed them to build a strong domestic and worldwide brand loyalty.
 
The Dhingra family's next generation is still steering Berger Paints in the direction of prosperity today. Rishma Kaur, the daughter of Kuldip Singh Dhingra, and Kanwardip Singh Dhingra, the son of Gurbachan Singh Dhingra, are Executive Directors of Berger Paints, which has its headquarters in Kolkata.
