House prices doubled in Bengaluru, market on fire…


House prices across the country are rising rapidly after the Covid pandemic. The situation is even worse in the big cities of the country. Among these, the property rates in Bengaluru and Delhi-NCR have surprised everyone. Property prices in Bengaluru have increased the most by about 90 per cent and in delhi NCR also by 79 per cent. Due to this, the dream of home buyers does not seem to be fulfilled easily.


Housing market boom since 2020


According to a report by Enrock, this boom in the housing market has started since the year 2020. The prices have increased the most in Bengaluru's Bagaluru and Delhi-NCR near the Dwarka Expressway. The price of houses in the Bagaluru area has jumped from Rs 4,300 per square feet in 2019 to Rs 8,151 in the first half of 2024. Hyderabad's Kokapet area is in second place with an increase of 89 percent. The price of houses here has increased from Rs 4,750 per square feet to Rs 9,000 per square feet. Bengaluru's Whitefield area is at number three in the country. The rates of houses here have increased by 80 percent. The price of houses here has increased from Rs 4,765 per square feet to Rs 8,600 per square feet.


Dwarka Expressway brought a huge jump

The situation is not much different in Delhi-NCR. The price of houses near Dwarka Expressway has increased by 79 percent. Here, instead of Rs 5,359 per square feet, now one has to pay Rs 9,600 per square feet. Bengaluru's sarjapur area is also included in the top 5 expensive areas. The rates of houses here have increased from Rs 5,870 per square feet to Rs 9,300 per square feet. The top 10 expensive areas also include bachupally and tellapur in Hyderabad, Dombivali in mumbai Metropolitan Area and New Gurugram.
