Mohanlal Resigns as AMMA President Amid Allegations

Mohanlal has resigned from his position as the president of the Association of malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA), causing a stir in the malayalam film industry. The actor announced his decision on Tuesday, and his resignation was followed by the joint resignation of all 17 members of the executive committee.

AMMA released a statement explaining that the executive committee was dissolved on moral grounds due to allegations against some members. A new committee will be elected within the next two months, with a general body meeting scheduled to facilitate the transition. The association expressed hope for a new leadership that can revamp and strengthen AMMA and thanked members for highlighting its shortcomings.
