12-hour 'Bengal bandh' demanding CM's resignation...

In West bengal, the bharatiya janata party (BJP) has called for a 12-hour bandh in protest at police actions against protestors who were marching to the state headquarters. The terrible rape and murder of a 31-year-old doctor at RG Kar Medical college and Hospital prompted the march. The bengal bjp President, Sukanta Majumdar, made the statement and encouraged locals to take part in today's general strike, which is set to begin at 6 AM and end at 6 PM. Majumdar asked that the state authorities take prompt action in response to the occurrence, denouncing it as a serious issue for public safety.

The 'Nabanna Abhiyan' protest march, which was organised in response to the RG Kar case, descended into violence when demonstrators ran over police barricades at Santragachi in Howrah and fought with officers, causing the kolkata police to intervene. The protest march headed for Nabanna, the state secretariat housing the chief minister's office (CMO), from Kolkata's college Square. At the famous Howrah bridge, the police used tear gas shells, water cannons, and lathi charges to disperse the demonstrators. The kolkata police converted the high-security area into a fortress before the march and shut down all of the routes that led to Nabanna.

Shehzad Poonawalla of the bjp claimed that mamata banerjee, the chief minister of West bengal, was acting more like Idi Ameen than Didi in regards to the police's activities. The supreme court and high court censured mamata Banerjee's government for shielding the perpetrators of rape, destroying proof, and stifling the voice of truth. Once again, mamata Banerjee's government is obstructing traffic as students, medical professionals, and regular people demonstrate in support of the daughter and seek justice through Nabanna chalo Abhiyan."

Head of the BJP's IT Cell amit Malviya attacked mamata banerjee, claiming that she has directed kolkata police to block protesting residents from reaching Nabanno because she is so afraid of the students' movement. "Is she imagining students' demanding punishment for the RG Kar assault and murder victim marching ahead in tanks?" he inquired.
