The Association of malayalam movie Artists (AMMA) committee has come under fire from actor parvathy thiruvothu for their decision to disband as a group. women in cinema Collective (WCC) founder Parvathy recently criticized AMMA's action and labeled them cowards. The actress criticized the decision and said that it was an attempt to dodge accountability, even though she did not mention mohanlal by name.

"I immediately thought, 'How cowardly,' when I heard about this collective resignation.'" How cowardly of them to withdraw from speaking to the media when in a position of accountability. That's a clear-cut way out. As a result, women are once again expected to lead the discussions and debates. Parvathy said to journalist Barkha Dutt on her YouTube channel, "It would have been amazing if they had shown at least the intention to work with the state government and stakeholders to figure out a way out."

Parvathy vented her rage even further and posed some crucial queries. "When the case was still pending, this same executive committee welcomed the main accused in the 2017 sexual assault case back into the fold. Until the accusations against them surfaced, this executive committee maintained that none of these things were real. Furthermore, the government's remarks such as "If the women have complaints, they should just file a FIR and come up with names" were extremely irresponsible.

Once more, women are expected to identify, humiliate, and bear the weight of the consequences. I've always asked: What evidence of justice do you have to support your demand that we identify and humiliate the offenders? What then happens to our life, our professions, our legal bills, and our mental health problems? Nobody is interested in that. "Why is it that women are always expected to handle issues that are not our faults?" the woman questioned.
