Once it was released on Netflix, several viewers were impressed with Nani's film Ante Sundaraniki, which was once deemed a failure. Many, however, held filmmaker vivek Athreya responsible for the film's disproportionate running time of 2 hours and 56 minutes, or almost 3 hours. After the release, vivek Athreya vehemently defended his choice to retain the unnecessarily long and never once acknowledged making a mistake.

Surprisingly, the same duration issue is being repeated by the same director and actor when they reunite for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Saripodhaa Sanivaaram has a long running duration of two hours and fifty minutes, almost three hours. Online debates over why the filmmaker need three hours to tell a narrative in which the main character harbors resentment all week and fights on saturday have been triggered by this. Many worry that nani and the filmmaker are making the same costly error as they did with Ante Sundaraniki.

The film is receiving a lot of criticism for its long running duration since it is being released today. The movie might have fifteen minutes cut, especially around the pre-climax, and includes a few predictable parts and uninteresting portions in the first half.
