A 30-year-old hotel owner was detained on suspicion of spying on young couples, extorting money from them by threatening to reveal their private footage and engaging in blackmail. The incident happened at Hotel Sita Grand, which is connected to oyo rooms, according to K Balraju, the circle inspector at rajiv gandhi International Airport.
 
According to the police, Pothuri Ganesh, the accused, put covert cameras within the room's lightbulb holders.
 
"Young couples would hire the apartments from the accused Ganesh, who would surreptitiously monitor their intimate moments on camera. The circle inspector informed india Herald that he later threatened to reveal the couples' private information to collect money from them. The police also stated that the hotel owner in hyderabad was hooked on watching porn and frequently had phone conversations with many women.

Several couples eventually sent money to Ganesh after giving in to his blackmail.
 
But one such couple made the decision to call the police. police found the two cell phones and covert cameras that the accused Ganesh was reportedly using during a search operation.
 
However according to information obtained by india Herald, authorities were unable to locate any files that had private information on couples. "No recordings from the hotel rooms in hyderabad were discovered. The circle inspector stated, "We will submit the accused's confiscated cameras and cell phones for forensic examination in order to conduct more inquiries.
 
Ganesh has been charged under Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) sections 75 (sexual harassment) and 77 (voyeurism). A judicial remand order has been issued for the accused.
 
In an effort to improve safety and security for women, the municipal police recently started working with the National service Scheme (NSS) to audit malls and public areas for concealed or espionage cameras.
 
The hyderabad police will designate female specialists to assess female restrooms, changing rooms, and other sensitive locations in retail centers during the inspections. To maintain continuous safety, both major and minor retail districts will undergo sporadic, random inspections, the police announced in a news statement.
