Since no intelligent person reads aloud from paper these days, Mr. Modi does not do so when making speeches, despite having them with him.

He is unquestionably an exceptionally skilled orator. Speaking at an official venue (such as the UN or BRICS) is significantly different from speaking at an election rally, where you can freely boast and occasionally even distort the truth.

Like the majority of other notable figures in the globe, Mr. Modi also utilizes a teleprompter at these types of events. While it helps the speaker technologically, it can be difficult for others to detect.
How does a teleprompter work?
The teleprompter is positioned such that the text is readable from behind the lectern, but because the screen is translucent from the other side, the audience in front of it cannot see it at all. A teleprompter operator works in the background, regulating the scrolling text's speed and paying close attention to the speaker's cadence.

The speaker does little more than glance between the teleprompters during the speech. This conveys the idea that the speaker is addressing the audience while speaking.

The teleprompter operator adjusts the script's speed to correspond with the speaker's cadence.
