As the fifth-highest grossing movie in indian box office history and the seventh-highest grossing indian film globally, kalki 2898 AD has achieved remarkable success. In its eighth week of release, the movie's theatrical run came to an extremely poor end, earning less than Rs. 30 lakhs in India. Its recent OTT debut usually means that its theatrical run is coming to an end.
 
According to the trade, kalki 2898 AD has made around Rs. 735 crore at the indian box office and USD 29 million (roughly Rs. 245 crore) abroad, for a total worldwide revenue of roughly Rs. 975–980 crore. The movie is expected to have made about Rs. 790 crore in india (including 3D costs) and roughly Rs. 1030 crore globally. Nonetheless, the film's producers have said that it has surpassed the 1100 crore milestone. kalki 2898 AD got off to a great start, earning more than Rs. 100 crore on its first day of sales. It kept up this trend by giving a strong performance in July and the first part of August.
 
The movie was a big hit everywhere, including in kerala and tamil Nadu, where Prabhas's movies have never done well. The Hindi-speaking areas and Nizam, Karnataka, produced the most remarkable performances. Just after RRR, kalki 2898 AD became the second-highest earning movie in Nizam history. On a global scale, kalki 2898 AD had a noteworthy influence. It is also the second-highest-grossing indian film in the US, only surpassed by Baahubali 2. It is the second-highest-grossing telugu movie outside of Japan. It became the highest-grossing tollywood movie in Canada.
