PM Modi always stands with people of Gujarat!!!

Rain havoc has been continuing in gujarat for several days. Now the indian Meteorological Department has predicted extremely heavy rains in different parts of Saurashtra districts of gujarat on Thursday.  The chief minister said in a post on 'X', "Prime minister Narendra Modi spoke to me over the telephone about the situation of heavy rains in gujarat and took details of relief and rescue operations." He said Modi gave guidance about the safety of life and property and assured all necessary help and cooperation from the central government. The chief minister said, "The prime minister is constantly monitoring the situation, expressing concern about Gujarat. He has a deep affection for the people of Gujarat. He always stands with gujarat and the people of the state during natural disasters and whenever needed."


The State Emergency Operations Center (SEOC) said that with the latest rains, gujarat has so far received 105 percent of its average annual rainfall. Data from the SEOC shows that in the 24-hour period ending at 6 am on Wednesday, many districts of Saurashtra, especially Devbhoomi Dwarka, Jamnagar, Porbandar and rajkot received very heavy rains.

 
During this period, Khambhalia taluka of Devbhoomi Dwarka district received 454 mm of rain, followed by Jamnagar city (387 mm) and Jamjodhpur taluka (329 mm) in Jamnagar. Of the 251 talukas in the state, 13 received more than 200 mm of rain and another 39 received more than 100 mm of rain during this period.
24 rivers flowing above danger mark


According to an official release, 24 rivers along with 140 reservoirs and dams in the state are flowing above the danger mark. The rains have also disrupted traffic and train movement as roads and railway lines have been submerged. The release said that 122 out of 206 dams have been put on high alert due to a sharp rise in their water level. The ahmedabad division of Western Railway said that 48 trains have been cancelled, 14 partially cancelled and six stopped midway. It said that the route of another 23 trains was changed.
