Recently, SS rajamouli was spotted discussing his project Mahabharat. He refers to it as his lifelong ambition and thinks the tale would be so compelling that the actors won't really matter. He thus wants to include a few fresh faces. However, despite the fact that many of these movies center on a particular faith, several discussions on social media have polarized fans. Many questioned SS Rajamouli's excessive attention on capitalizing on the religious significance of Mahabharat!

Religious themes play a major part in movies like Baahubali, kalki 2898 AD, and Brahmastra. A lot of it, from the narrative to the characters, speaks to the general public's religious feelings and draws them into theaters. In the guise of religion, this is only misleading people on the one hand, and because minorities do not see their role models on film, it is further dividing society on the other.

However, why has there been such controversy about storytelling and drawing inspiration from religious epics? Is it the partisan fervor of the moment? or an effort to win over the radical religious people? The aim of the manufacturer is at the heart of the issue. As we all know, movies like Padmavat and Adipurush have drawn criticism for alleged "misrepresentations."

These days, touching on a religious subject is a very delicate subject. Filmmakers become less creative when they are subjected to censor board scrutiny and religious criticism. However, movies that are only produced to pander to the religious feelings of the majority also do great harm to our society. Whatever the situation, the political context that surrounds cinema is eroding its critical significance as an art form.
