Let us tell you that the Ministry of Defense is going to give honorarium of Rs 15 lakh to the soldiers involved in the 1965 and 1971 wars. According to the information, under the 'War Honor Scheme', the Ex-Servicemen Welfare Department and the Ministry of Defense have asked to provide information about pensioner and non-pensioner soldiers who actively participated in the 1965 and 1971 wars. In this letter issued on august 8, it has been said to give financial assistance of Rs 15 lakh to such ex-servicemen. In this letter, information has been sought from the State Sainik Welfare Boards about Emergency Commissioned Officers, Short service Commission Officers, Regular Commissioned Officers, Civilian Personal and Personal Below Officer Rank who participated in the 1965 and 1971 wars. According to some media reports, the lump sum amount of Rs 15 lakh under the 'Yuddh Samman Yojana' will be given only to those people who do not get any kind of pension. Apart from this, regular commissioned officers will not get the benefit of this scheme.
