By sharing an instagram story calling on the telangana government to make public a subcommittee report that was initially submitted by The Voice of women, a support group established for women in the telugu film industry, samantha Ruth Prabhu has taken a strong stance in favor of women in the industry (TFI). Samantha's open support has given the movement a lot more momentum.

In her instagram story, samantha lauded the efforts of the women in cinema Collective (WCC) in Kerala, which has been instrumental in bringing the issue of sexual harassment in the film industry to the forefront. Her post read, “We, the women of the telugu film industry, welcome the hema Committee report and applaud the persistent efforts of the WCC in Kerala, which has laid the path to this moment.” By drawing a parallel with the WCC’s successful fight for women’s rights in malayalam cinema, samantha highlighted the urgent need for similar measures in the telugu industry.

Samantha emphasized in her message that the WCC's dedication to justice and safe working conditions served as inspiration for the creation of The Voice of women in 2019. She pleaded with the telangana government to release the subcommittee report that was sent in, which addresses sexual harassment in the workplace. samantha claims that the release of this research may result in the enactment of strict laws and industry guidelines meant to defend women and guarantee a polite and safe workplace.
