Controversial donald trump Biopic to Release Before Election

A biopic depicting former President donald trump in a controversial light is set to be released in the U.S. on october 11, just weeks before the 2024 election. Titled "The Apprentice," the film, which premiered at the 77th Cannes Film festival in May, explores Trump’s early career as a New York real estate mogul.

Despite legal threats from Trump's attorneys aimed at blocking the film's release, NBC news reports that "The Apprentice" will move forward with its American debut. trump campaign spokesperson Steven Cheung has condemned the film as "pure malicious defamation" and suggested possible legal action against the producers, dismissing it as "pure fiction."

The film's most contentious element is a scene portraying a younger trump sexually assaulting his first wife, Ivana, in 1990. ivana had made such claims during their divorce but later retracted them, describing her experience as a broader sense of violation. She passed away in 2022.

Producers of "The Apprentice" argue that the film offers a fair depiction of trump and encourage viewers to form their own opinions. The film stars Sebastian Stan as young trump and Jeremy Strong as Trump’s advisor Roy Cohn. Gabriel Sherman, a writer for Vanity Fair, penned the script, and the film is directed by Iranian-Danish filmmaker Adi Abbasi.
