The release of the impending biographical political drama "Emergency," which also stars actor-turned-politician kangana ranaut in her directorial debut, has been delayed due to the mounting controversy, insiders informed india Herald.

Sources close to Kangana's team confirmed the movie's postponement, but they also expressed hope that the Mandi lok sabha mp will see the film launched in the next ten days. Due to problems with the censor board and recent threats of murder against her, the new release date is now being finalized. According to information provided to india Herald, kangana is adamant about seeing the movie launched as soon as feasible despite these obstacles.

In a video posted on her official X handle, kangana stated, “There are rumours circulating that our film Emergency has received a censor certificate, but this is not the case. While the film had initially been cleared, certification has been halted due to numerous threats, including death threats directed at the Censor Board members. We are facing pressure to omit significant content, such as the assassination of Indira Gandhi, Bhindranwale, and the punjab riots. I find this situation deeply troubling and am saddened by the current state of affairs in our country.”
