Big good news for disabled pregnant women in Rajasthan!!!


The rajasthan government has made a big announcement for the pregnant women of the state. The state government has announced an increase in the amount received under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY). This amount will be given to women through DBT. rajasthan deputy cm Diya Kumari said that in the year 2024-25, the amount currently being given to disabled pregnant women for the first child under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana will be Rs 6500 from today.


What is the objective?

deputy cm Diya Kumari said that this amount has been increased to Rs 10,000 so that disabled women get more nutritious food during pregnancy and after the birth of the child. Referring to the scheme, the deputy cm said, "This incentive amount is being given to ensure timely vaccination along with better health of the mother and child." He said that the additional amount of Rs 3500 will be given through DBT from 100% state funds.


What is special in the scheme?

Director Integrated Child Development services OP Bunkar said that in the revised budget year 2024-25, the state government has increased the amount of Rs 6500 currently being given to disabled pregnant women for the first child under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana from Rs 10 thousand from today. According to the scheme, the first installment of Rs 3000 was given on registration at Anganwadi Center and at least one pre-natal health check-up, which has been increased to Rs 4000. The second installment of Rs 1500 previously received on the birth of the child has been increased to Rs 3000.

The third installment of Rs 2000 received on registration of the birth of the child and completion of all vaccines up to the age of fourteen weeks on the complete vaccination of the first phase has been increased from Rs 2000 to Rs 3000. OP Bunkar said that the increased amount of Rs 3500 will be given to those women who are partially (40 percent) or completely disabled. They will be given the full amount of the scheme through DBT.
