Sumit Antil, an indian javelin wonder, won back-to-back gold medals in the Paralympics on monday, september 2, in Paris, with an incredible performance. As the clear favorite going into the competition, sumit lived up to the hype and broke all previous records to win the gold. Throughout his six throws, the indian broke his personal Paralympic record thrice and appeared to be in excellent shape right away.
 
In order to win the gold medal and create a new Paralympic record, sumit had to jump 68.55 meters in Tokyo. That would be destroyed by sumit on his very first try, as he was pleased to win the competition on monday with a score of 69.11 meters. However, the excitement was about to treble as the javelin wonder broke his own record again, this time by hitting 70.59 meters, pulling ahead of the rest of the field.
 
Antil's third throw measured 66.66 meters, while his fourth attempt was deemed invalid due to a faulty start. In the fifth one, sumit would deliver yet another incredible throw, hitting 69.04 meters to all but guarantee that he would take home the gold. In the end, Dulan Kodithuwakku of sri lanka did provide some opposition, but it was unable to overcome sumit, who concluded the day with a throw of 66.57 meters.
