According to reports, rahul gandhi, the leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, asked haryana congress leaders what they thought about forming an alliance with the AAP during the party's Central election Committee (CEC) meeting on Monday.
 
Together, the congress and AAP have run in haryana, Gujarat, Goa, Delhi, and chandigarh for the Lok Sabha. Senior Congresswoman Kumari Selja claimed her party is a powerful force in the state and will run alone in the elections last month in an interview with news agency PTI. She also ruled out the prospect of forming an alliance with the AAP for the haryana assembly elections.
 
Arvind Kejriwal, the national convenor of the AAP and chief minister of Delhi, declared earlier this year that his party will run independent candidates in all 90 seats for the haryana Assembly.
 
State congress head uday Bhan may run from Hodal, while former haryana chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda is expected to run from his stronghold of Garhi Sampla-Kiloi, according to reports.
 

On october 5, voters in haryana, which has 90 assembly seats, will cast ballots. october 8 is when the results will be released.
