Hindi-language movie releases are subject to an eight-week window prior to being streamed on over-the-top (OTT) platforms, under MAI regulations. Breaking this rule puts upcoming films at risk at well-known cinema chains like PVRInox and Cinepolis.

By highlighting the need of upholding the eight-week OTT window, the MAI is utilizing this occurrence to bolster its policy. They want to create a precedent that will stop other manufacturers from eschewing the laws as they are in place. The industry is keeping a tight eye on shankar and his crew, and with indian 3 already scheduled for release in 2025, fans are wondering what will happen to the third installment. shankar and his group seem to be inexhaustibly frustrated over winning indian 2.
