Hyderabad has developed as a city with roads, fresh water facility and no incidents of violence. However, floods have become a big headache for the city of Hyderabad. Even a small flood will turn hyderabad into a swamp. Many slums in hyderabad are drowning due to flood. Sometimes even cars get washed away. There were many floods during kcr government.
Also, in 2010, the people were in various situations due to heavy floods in the city of Hyderabad. However after the kcr government came, many measures were taken to control the floods. And now in the revanth reddy government, floods are coming at the same level. But revanth reddy thought about the future and brought a new law called HYDRA. The reason for floods especially in hyderabad is due to encroachment of ponds and illegal constructions on canals. But revanth reddy brought Hydra to identify them and destroy the illegal structures. This hydra is being implemented very efficiently in hyderabad city. Some analysts say that if the HYDRA authorities are more armed, the city of hyderabad will develop a lot. It is said that if the illegal buildings are demolished, there will be no flood in Hyderabad. So, whatever the government in telangana state, they say that steps should be taken in that direction.
