Family Demands Further Action After arrest of Former Principal in RG Kar Hospital Case

The arrest of Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar Hospital, has stirred mixed emotions within the victim's family. While the arrest, made by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on corruption charges, initially brought a sense of relief, the family remains convinced that the true perpetrators of the crime are still at large.

Ghosh's arrest has been widely reported, with him now in police custody for eight days. The victim’s family and neighbors expressed joy at this development, seeing it as a step forward. They believe that the late doctor had aimed to expose the corruption rampant at the hospital and suspect that Ghosh might have been involved in the tragic incident that occurred last month.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the victim’s aunt conveyed their feelings to the media. She highlighted the significant role of the nationwide protests in achieving this arrest, calling it a "moral victory" for both the students and doctors who had been demonstrating for 25 days. She expressed hope that this development signifies progress towards justice, with the ultimate goal of seeing all those responsible for the crime brought to justice.

The aunt mentioned that while the arrest of Ghosh for corruption is a relief, the family feels that their late daughter will only find peace when all the individuals involved in the brutal crime are apprehended. She criticized the current arrest as insufficient, emphasizing that Ghosh's involvement in the murder itself remains unaddressed. The family continues to believe that Ghosh may be linked to the crime and is calling for further investigation to ensure that the full truth is uncovered and justice is served.
