It is noteworthy that 5 lakh food packets were prepared for the flood victims in Akshaya Patra's kitchen.
Officials of Akshaya Patra say that this rare feat has been achieved due to the support provided by the government on one hand and donors on the other. Akshaya Patra officials said that they are preparing delicious and nutritious food for the flood victims. Akshaya Patra served food to 60 thousand people on the first day, one lakh people on the second day, 2 lakh people on the third day and 5 lakh people on the fourth day.
With the help of women, various organizations, association staff, MEPMA, and women police, this organization worked hard to pack food and distribute the food properly to the victims. It seems that 400 staff from the municipal societies in the surrounding areas of vijayawada participate in their duties and send more food packets. It is being reported that the members of the Motor Mechanic Association from mangalagiri have volunteered to load food into the vehicles. It is not easy for any other organization to provide food to the flood victims on such a massive scale. Akshaya Patra is a non-profit trust and a mid-day meal scheme in government schools of the country is also being implemented by this organization.
