While spying on Bee and her friends, Cole witnesses them performing a satanic ritual, which includes sacrificing a human being. Bee and her group of friends—each of whom represents a different high school stereotype—are part of a blood cult. They need Cole’s blood for their rituals, and when he’s discovered, he must survive the night while outsmarting Bee and her dangerous friends.
The film blends humor with horror, making light of typical slasher movie tropes while delivering a thrilling and entertaining ride. It’s filled with over-the-top action, witty dialogue, and plenty of dark comedy. The film’s energetic pacing, along with Samara Weaving’s standout performance as Bee, make it a fun, subversive take on the babysitter-gone-bad trope.
