Baahubali 2 starring prabhas has an unmatched record at the box office, especially considering its opening day attendance of about 1 crore in India. Over the years, a lot of records have been broken, but this one still unbroken.

The real test of a movie's success is not just how much money it brings in, which is subject to fluctuations due to inflation and increased ticket costs, but also how many people actually attend. In its hindi version, Baahubali 2 attracted about 35 lakh viewers; in the telugu states, it brought in 40 lakh, and in other languages, another 20–25 lakh. This makes it a difficult standard for any movie to meet or exceed.

Still, Allu Arjun's pushpa 2 is the one movie that has a chance to break this record. The anticipation for the sequel has been intense, and excitement is evident everywhere it is being released. Given Allu Arjun's enormous popularity and the original film's success, pushpa 2 has a chance to surpass 1 crore foot traffic on its first day of release.

It would be an exceptional achievement for allu arjun to even reach 70–75% of Baahubali 2's footfalls, especially considering he wouldn't have SS Rajamouli's backing. Should pushpa 2 manage to draw in 25 lakh hindi viewers, 30 lakh telugu viewers, and an additional 10-15 lakh viewers from other languages, it has the potential to create history with unprecedented first-day box office figures.
