Vistara airlines flight UK 27 going from mumbai to Frankfurt has been diverted to Erzurum airport in turkey due to security reasons. A message written 'There is a bomb in the plane' was found on a tissue paper in the toilet of this plane, due to which the route was diverted. According to the information, the flight reached Erzurum safely and all the passengers are safe.
Security checks being done in Turkey
As soon as the news of the flight being diverted was received, Vestara airlines has issued a statement, in which it was said that the matter will be thoroughly investigated. According to the Times of india report, a Vistara spokesperson said, "Vistara flight flying from mumbai to Frankfurt on september 6, 2024 was diverted to turkey due to security reasons. The plane has landed safely at Erzurum Airport. As per protocol, the concerned authorities were immediately alerted and full cooperation is being given to the investigating agencies to complete the security check. The safety of passengers, crew members and the aircraft is our first priority."
If the news is false, the plane will fly again
Vistara said that if after the security check it is found that the news of a bomb in the plane has been spread, then the flight will again proceed to its destination. A senior pilot said, "The handwriting should be checked to find out who has written it. Such diversions cause a lot of inconvenience to the passengers and cost a lot of money to the airlines. Apart from this, the schedule of aircraft operations is also affected."
