On september 7, 2024, devotees began putting Lord Ganesha idols in their homes and public areas in preparation for Ganesh Chaturthi. The celebration, also called Vinayaka Chaturthi, commemorates the birth of Lord Ganesha. Devotees participate in joyful events, complex pujas, and prayer during the holiday. Ganesh Visarjan, the celebration's finale, sees the idol of Ganesh submerged in a body of water, signifying the god's return to his celestial home.

However, do you know why some people decide to submerge the idol on the same day, while others wait one and a half days, three days, five days, seven days, 10 days, or even eleven days? The exact day of Ganesh Visarjan varies depending on local traditions and individual preferences, says Drik Panchang. The various days for completing the immersion and the lucky times are shown below.

Pooja Hegde and several celebrities celebrated the festival at manish Malhotra's residence. pooja hegde was spotted wearing a sleeveless light-colored saree. On the day of ganesh chaturthi, some devotees decide to immediately submerge the Ganesh idol following the puja rites. This custom, however less frequent, denotes the god's imminent return. This custom calls for submerging the idol, usually in the afternoon on the day after Ganesh Chaturthi. This type of visarjan, called one and a half day visarjan, enables devotees to do the puja on ganesh chaturthi and complete the visarjan in the second part of the following day.
