The contest between the two parties for the US presidency is more competitive than ever as the election draws near. Even while prior indicators give Kamala harris a slight advantage, election day trends might still go any way. Every vote counts in this situation, and localities are mobilizing to raise awareness of the impending elections.

The "Indo-American Votes Matter" campaign was also started by the Foundation for india and indian Diaspora (FIIDS) to educate the community about their crucial role in choosing the next US president. Votes from immigrants are important because they will cast ballots based on global and immigrant policies in addition to national ones.

More intriguingly, local indian American groups across several states have started a similar movement to promote Kamala Harris. Launched on Tuesday, the grassroots "Indian Americans for Harris" initiative seeks to increase the number of votes cast for the Democratic presidential candidate. Contrary to popular belief, Indian-American voters did not clearly select a member of their own group to be president.

What these ads really show is how strong the indian diaspora is in America. Many members of the community are enthusiastic supporters of harris and think that having an Indian-American woman in the white house will not only make them feel proud but also provide them greater power to express their ideas. Will the Republicans launch a campaign specifically aimed at the indian community? It will be a tight battle between harris and Trump; only time will tell.
