Ever with the launch of IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack last month, Netflix has found itself in difficulties. While some members of the public commended the show for its outstanding narrative and performances, others began criticizing the series for an error that the creators had made, whether intentionally or not. netizens quickly brought attention to the fact that the show's producers had withheld the true identities of the terrorists responsible for the hijack.

The main criticism was directed at the code names of the hijackers, shankar and Bhola, which some claimed were offensive to Hindus. There is now a dispute that may not finish very soon. If we must discuss the facts, then the terrorists actually used the code names Bhola and shankar at the time of the attack. It is difficult to modify the code names since it would be incorrect to change information that has been verified by many publications, despite some individuals wondering why they cannot be altered.

In the meanwhile, Netflix has put a new notice at the beginning once their logo shows on the screen in order to prevent any such problems. The show originally debuted with a disclaimer stating that it was taken from the novel Flight Into Fear by Captain Devi sharan and Srinjoy Chowdhury and was also inspired by actual occurrences. Nayanthara's 'Annapoorani' movie was entirely removed by Netflix when it faced a similar backlash.

The new disclaimer states that it is a fictitious drama set against the backdrop of real-life happenings, while the previous one remains. The disclaimer also states that the events on film were portrayed with some artistic license by the creators. The terrorists' code names are listed in the second part of the disclaimer, along with a list of their true identities. Although it is anticipated that this would put an end to the continuing issue, it is difficult to please everyone.

If a thorough analysis of the entire debate is required, we come to the conclusion that it never should have happened. The dearth of research is the cause of the same. Checking everything is necessary before moving further. When we learn that a project has been sparked by a real-life occurrence, we should also take this action. In addition, the victims of the IC 814 hijack have spoken out about the subject, with the majority of them asserting that the events shown in the series are 100% accurate. The same individuals have also attested to the fact that the terrorists actually utilized the code names that were depicted in the program.

The creators had more in mind than merely providing entertainment. They even made an attempt, which was effective, to depict the victims' suffering on television. Regretfully, we are seeing trivial matters become the source of needless controversy. From the look of things, the makers did not make the error on purpose. Possibly because of the urgency to release the show, the further disclaimer was omitted.
