New Vande Bharat Train: Tatanagar-Berhampur Route Details

Inauguration: The new Vande Bharat Express train between Tatanagar and Berhampur is set to be inaugurated by prime minister Narendra Modi on september 15, 2024. This event marks a significant enhancement in the region’s rail connectivity and underscores the government’s commitment to improving transportation infrastructure.

This Vande Bharat Express will be the fourth of its kind to operate in Odisha. The existing routes include Visakhapatnam-Bhubaneswar, Puri-Rourkela, and Puri-Howrah.
Union minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that, alongside the inauguration of the Vande Bharat train, prime minister Modi will also launch the first installment of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, benefiting 113,195 individuals in Jamshedpur.
The introduction of this new service is expected to enhance connectivity and provide faster travel options between Tatanagar and Berhampur, reflecting the ongoing efforts to improve rail infrastructure and passenger convenience in the region.
