The Greatest Of All Time, or GOAT, Thalapathy Vijay's most recent film, hasn't exactly lived up to the hype since it opened in theaters. This sci-fi action film, directed by venkat Prabhu, has gotten mixed reviews in tamil and unfavorable comments in other languages.

With a number of noteworthy allusions, the movie aims to honor famous people and popular culture. In one moment, Vijay imitates Shah Rukh Khan's well-known love posture, and the soundtrack of the film Padaiyappa pays homage to Rajinikanth. To further add to the tribute, a song from Rajinikanth's previous film is also used again.

The appearance of trisha krishnan, who dances with Vijay and brings back memories of their past collaborations, is a standout feature of GOAT. Furthermore, yogi Babu's character makes a lighthearted reference to Mahesh Babu's movie okkadu when discussing Vijay's previous roles. Even with these attempts to engage viewers with well-known and cherished aspects, the movie falls short.

It has a long running duration, a mediocre first half, and a little better second half that doesn't save the whole experience. Even with its grandiose endeavor to include so many nostalgic elements, GOAT hasn't managed to distinguish itself as the "greatest" film that it claims to be.
