Punjabi singer arrested for sending people to America…?

delhi police arrested a 42-year-old punjabi singer for alleged involvement in a gang that sends people to America on fake visas. According to delhi police, Fatehjit Singh, a resident of Jalandhar, Punjab, was arrested from indira gandhi airport (IGI) on Wednesday. He said that the accused and other members of the gang were trying to send a passenger to America via Donkey Route. delhi police Deputy Commissioner IGI airport Usha Rangnani said that during interrogation, the accused revealed that he has studied till 12th class. He is a singer by profession. He also told the police that he has participated in shows all over the world.

DCP IGI airport Usha Rangnani said that the accused and punjabi singer Fatehjit Singh came in contact with an agent named sultan Singh who used to cheat people on the pretext of sending them to America. After coming in contact with sultan, he started working with him to earn quick money. The accused had promised to arrange his travel and provide all the documents in exchange for Rs 50 lakh.

Advance of Rs 10 lakh was taken from the passenger

In this case, the accused were paid an advance amount of Rs 10 lakh before the US trip. sultan Singh gave Rs four lakh as commission to the accused. It was also decided that the remaining amount would be given after the passenger reached his destination. The accused told the police that with the help of sultan Singh and other associates, he had arranged the passenger's travel to the US five times, which included traveling to different countries, but the plan did not succeed.

The DCP said that in the fifth attempt in march, the accused and other agents tried to send Gurpreet Singh to the US via kazakhstan, but he was later caught by the authorities in kazakhstan and sent back to India. The kazakhstan authorities suspected that the passenger was traveling on a fake visa, as two pages of his passport were found torn. In one of the previous attempts, Gurpreet Singh was provided a fake Brazilian visa, but he was deported back to india from Qatar. This time, two pages of the passport were removed by sultan Singh. Gurpreet Singh was questioned by the delhi police at the IGI airport in march and arrested.
