Together, the pair has produced several successes, such as Garam Masala, Bhool Bhulaiyaa, and Hera Pheri. Their most recent project together, Khatta Meetha, had mediocre results.
 
Akshay said that he will feature in the horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla on his 56th birthday. Akshay is shown drinking milk from a dish in the image, which also includes a naughty cat perched on his shoulder. Fans have been pining for the "good old days" following a string of box office failures, such as Bell Bottom, Bade Miyan Chhote Miyan, Sarfira, Khel Khel Mein, and others.
